Trade delegation to Argentina

On May 8-9 May Open Trade Gate Sweden participated in a trade delegation to Argentina led by State Secretary Gunnar Wieslander. During the programme in Buenos Aires, the Swedish Embassy and the Argentinean Ministry for Foreign Affairs arranged a seminar on the topic "Export to Sweden" with participants from various export sectors. The seminar was a follow-up event to a similar activity arranged in Sweden by the Embassy of Argentina in September 2007 on the occasion of a trade delegation exploring business opportunities to export to Sweden.

The seminar was opened by State Secretary Luis Kreckler, Argentina, and State Secretary Gunnar Wieslander, Sweden. The speakers invited were Swedish Ambassador Mr. Arne Rodin; Swedish Trade Council, Mr. Fredrik Udd; Open Trade Gate Sweden, Mrs. Sonia Albarello; and the Swedish-Argentinean Chamber of Commerce Umberto Podetti.

Mrs. Sonia Albarello, Executive Director of Open Trade Gate Sweden, gave a presentation on the services we offer for exporters interested in reaching the Swedish market. Argentinean exporters received information on how to forward an inquiry about trade rules and regulations to Open Trade Gate Sweden as well as a general overview of the Swedish market.

The seminar was well received and Open Trade Gate Sweden met with many business representatives from Argentina.
