Export seminars in Ecuador 15-16 April 2008

Open Trade Gate Sweden participated in two export seminars in Ecuador 15-16 April 2008; one in the capital Quito and one in Guayaquil, Ecuador’s main port city. The seminars were arranged by CORPEI, Ecuador’s Export and Investment Promotion Corporation. The aim of the seminars was to present Sweden as a market for Ecuadorian exports and to provide information on rules and regulations for trade with Sweden and the EU.

The Swedish Embassy was represented by Honorary Consul Dr. Galo Abril Ojeda, who participated in both seminars and contributed with his experience from Sweden and his expertise in trade issues. The seminars were visited by exporters of fruit and vegetables, cocoa, coffee, fish and roses, and will be followed by an Ecuadorian export delegation to Sweden in October 2008.
