Successful export seminar in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire

On February 11-13, Open Trade Gate Sweden participated in a Swedish delegation to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, together with the Swedish Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire Mrs. Carin Wall. The delegation was also accompanied by the Ivorian Ambassador to the Nordic countries Mr. Robert Ly.
The main purpose of the visit was to participate in a seminar on the topic "Sweden as a market for Ivorian exporters" and to meet with local cooperation partners and political representatives.
The seminar was arranged by APEX-CI, the Export Promotion Council of Côte d'Ivoire, and attracted approximately 80 Ivorian exporters, business representatives and political representatives. The participants were given an overview of the Swedish market as well as the services offered by Open Trade Gate Sweden.
An extra session with information on products of particular interest to Côte d'Ivoire was held, covering market opportunities and requirements for exporting fruits, coffee, cocoa, nuts, cut flowers and wood to Sweden. Furthermore, the delegation met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises.
