Interviews with Kenyan Companies
9/20/2006
One of the main objectives of Open Trade Gate Sweden is to increase the market access for developing countries to the EU market. For us it is extremely important to understand the realities of exporters in developing countries. Hence, we travel extensively to various countries in order to communicate and exchange experiences. Between January and July 2006 we visited and held seminars the following countries: Brazil, Ghana, Colombia, Ecuador, Kenya, Jordan, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, China and Ethiopia.
In September 2006 two countries will be visited; Kenya and Thailand. Trade Adviser Peter Cederblad will travel to Kenya on 12-22 of September. He will meet a number of exporters to discuss their exporting experiences to the EU and to Sweden. Peter will also be a speaker at a mini seminar in Nairobi on "How to export to Sweden". A study visit to the port and customs of Mombasa is also scheduled. Executive Director Marie Andersson de Frutos travels to Thailand on 24-30 of September, where she will present "Sweden as an export market", at two seminars in Bangkok and Chang Mai.
